Now Marco you have to pace yourself and remember to breathe! We all know how that sort of thing gets your blood moving. This should be pretty close for you too, are you going to try and re-schedule life to attend? Track info is on the flyer that is posted and MapQuest puts me at approx. 4 hours. Less if I will pay the "Turnpike" and a little more if I won't. If my car is running I may try and put it in the "Projects" section. Work is "Slammed" until Feb. plus, and that is more than 3 mos. away could be worse by then. At least I am crying broke about half as much as usual. Car is in storage until May so I only have a month to prep it. Harry http://quakercitymotorsportspark.com/

This is VERY tempting. 11 hrs drive one way. If I can get the enclosed trailer and have the time off I just might have to make this one.

4.5 by Interstate. 6.3 by scenic park route. Would like to make the trip, you can probably count me in. It's mostly straight and flat which is easy on the car and a little better for mileage..

Lol, Harry, might just take off running never to be seen again, or to be found years later in some old boxes in a long forgotten corner of the facility. .
Just writing that, they probably wont let us in, lolol.

Phil, just think of it as 3... 6 hour trips, each with it's own story to tell.. :th:

Does everybody get a chance to run the strip like last time? I have a race to win against a yellow 76 or 77 305., if they'll show up again.

Hope to see Both. and Yep, thats the one, thanks for remembering..

I had this somewhat humours daydream about visiting the plant. It went like this;

Gm welcomes us to the plant for a tour. Once inside we first enter an area with a stage and a podium. As a speaker, who should walk on stage none other than ..Captain Kirk. A crowd of H body enthusiasts applauds and cheer's. After we settle down, and introduction begin's. But it's soon apparent that the talk isn't the welcome we were thinking.. It turns into that old bit where he addresses the crowd of Star Trek 'trekkies' and tell's them to their surprise and dismay..to "Please, move on with their lives" lol.
"Folk's...the 1970's are over. Long gone. Vega's and monza's have been white washed from the general public's memory.. Please stop looking wierd and recycle that old stuff and get on with the purchase or lease of a new modern and approved vehicle" Thank you. If anyone would still like a tour please head out the door to the left, thank you" lolol :lol: 8) :rolleyes:

What does that mean exactly... There still gonna be building the Cruze, It IS getting updated for 2015.. I don't think there going to be revamping the plant for it's new "Hey, now I look more like the Civic /Focus/Dart". exterior makeover. And considering they started building and shipping it, this summer.
So it should be business as usual over there.
I take it they just mean , They have important shit to focus on, and we wont be getting a tour.

A handful of cars could still pull into the parking lot on a Sunday just to snap a picture.

If I drive that far, I'm gonna get a picture.

Oh Yes We Can! We just need someone with a truck to flatten out those flowers and some planks to get these bottom scrapers up the curb. Where there is a will there is a way! But I guess that would be frowned upon I am sure, maybe even considered irresponsible. So a few pylons an orange striped vest and we could stop on the road in front for pic's that would probably not get us arrested (?). The best way to show them, is to show them we are worth their time! Harry
