Any word on if we are getting any break on the hotel rate? I just looked it up and they want $170 a night for a guaranteed reservation. You can get a $153 dollar room but there is no guarantee on it (that makes no sense). That was just on the HI website. I have not called the hotel yet to ask, I wanted to wait and see if there would be a special rate before I talk to them.

Thanks,

Woo Hoo, got my hotel reservations this morning! The girl I talked to said the rate was $119, but I wasn't going to quibble over two bucks. Now I just need the weather to cooperate (need some rain to wash down these dirty streets) so I can get the car out and put it through some test drives before the big drive on June 12th.

Just trying to understand the schedule for Saturday, Gates open at 10am, car show starts at what time and lasts until what time, racing starts at what time and lasts until what time? Can you leave the grounds during the day and re-enter for free? Are there food courts for lunch & dinner at the track? Any charge for parking tow vehicle and trailer? Sorry for all the questions but I haven’t been there before.

Sorry if there is any confusion on times track opens at 10 time trials till about 1pm . Racing starts right after lunch i think .Car show is going to be from 10 am till ?all cars need yo be there by 12noon But trophies for carshow should be ready about 3 pm. The track has food vendors .not many places to go outside track localy i would plan on track food for lunch or bring your own bbq? There is no extra charge for truck and trailers. And no extra charge for car show . But we will have a donation cup out to help support the cause. I hope this helps. And everything is subject to change as we are expecting almost 100 cars this time. We are also looking for Judges.

Thanks, I'll probably only be able to make it on Saturday and it's a 4 1/2-5 hour drive so the timing for the events was important, you gave me just what I needed.

I'm debating starting in the early AM, and taking the Senic route or arranging to ride in a convoy.

Really hoping to be able to swing it. Right now it is iffy but at least some good news, our passports are not expiring for another year or so, which saves us approx $250+. Haven't taked to Dave or Tim about an Ontario group yet, or anyone else fronm the area who is interested. Any idea how many rooms might still be available?
