If you're asking about the Vega 4-link rear axle brackets, the answwer is no. Don Hardy was making them but ceased production and sold their last set 2-3 years ago. If I could find a Vega rear to take the brackets from I'd start fabricating them. If anyone has a Vega rear with decent brackets near Las Vegas, Nevada shoot me an e-mail.

Thanks,

My brother in law actually bought the very last two boxes they had in stock. I bought one off him and had Jim (monzaz) build up an 8.5 for me just this year. If I can locate a diff in a yard here, I will snag it and cut the tubes off and send them to you. :)

I haven't seen a vega in the yard in years, otherwise I'd send you a set in a heartbeat

Thanks,
if you make the four link brackets bob you have my attention! ill probably want two sets! one thought tho when you make them, make an optional pair of brackets for the upper arms with the extra height of the stop hop brackets built in, that way no extra pieces will be needed to raise the upper arms. contact colin opseth i figure he might have a spare rear end to use the brackets for fabrication pourposes and is closer to you.

There is a member making copies of a NOS set of Don Hardy brackets. He has been doing a very good job , but I have not heard from him in a while. I will get ahold of him and let him know people are looking for some sets and he can join the post.

Mark,

If he's still making them ask him to first respond to this post and then to contact me so I can send customers his way. I occasionally get this question and it would be nice to help another H-Body fabricator. If he is no longer making them I will as soon as I can contact Colin about getting a Vega rear.

As for making the brackets with an additional upper hole for the anti-hop, I would like to get the dimensions of the anti-hop bar or the location of the upper hole in relation to the original hole so I can make sure the new bracket has the hole in the correct location.

Thanks,

He was having these made at a production shop and I believe the cost was about $200 a set to sell. I will go through my old emails and show you the prints there was a first try "practical" but not pretty 2nd try was great. His wife has been sick and thats kept him from this project. I will update by tomorrow with what I have.

Happy New Year Mark

Bob, one of the car mags, (PHR, Hot Rod, or Car Craft), published an article back in the mid 80s about an add-on bracket for that purpose, they were like 3/16" steel, (same thickness as the factory brackets), and welded right on top of the factory brackets. Anyway, the brackets change the I/C of the rear suspension, and IIRC, had at least a couple holes above the stock ones, the pattern simply follows the natural arc of the arm if you took the bolt out and swung it upwards. I made a set for my 73 as soon as I read the article, and they worked great. I don't recall ever checking the stock I/C on any Vega, but I know it's probably way past the front bumper, and should be vertically more like about camshaft high, and horizontally, somewhere between the back of the motor and the tail shaft of the trans, (roughly, around the center of balance, give or take a few inches). 8)
