93-02 Chevrolet Camaro 5.7L OEM Automatic 4 Speed Floor Shif

Postby erik monza » Thu Jun 27, 2013 3:26 am

Hello everybody

I am told that my best 4 speed automatic choose is a th700R4 as I have a 305 tpi in front of it

Now I do not have a 4 speed shifter, yes I could use my 3 speed and leave out L1 , but I think it would be nicer to end up with the right set up

I cannot find a 1982 to 1992 Chevrolet Camaro 5.7L OEM Automatic 4 Speed Floor Shifter Assembly

Will a 93-02 Chevrolet Camaro 5.7L OEM Automatic 4 Speed Floor Shifter Assembly fit with the th700R4 ?

Thanks from Erik

The 4th gen trans is the 4L60E, which is the same trans as the 700R4 except electically controlled. So as long as the mounting brackets are the same for the cable, it should work just fine. The mechanicals and detents are in the same location, and I'm pretty sure they did not change the case or mounting at all.

Thanks v8astregt

I had to built a arm for the trans shifter as the one on there had to be modified

There is not a lot of room as the left exhaust pipe goes by right there.

I will make a adjustable one as both the trans and the shifter has to be right on synchronies
