Rear differential cover

Postby kgroombr » Sun Nov 10, 2013 10:08 pm

My rear differential cover is pretty ugly (scaly rust) and I was looking to replace it. I found this topic:

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=31250&start=0

But I am looking to just get a cheap chrome cover. I have a 10 bolt 7 1/2" rear. I looked on ebay, but none of them show that they will fit. I am guessing that they just failed to put the Vega/Monza as a vehicle that it will fit.

What is a common vehicle that I can search on that uses the same cover, or if you could shoot me a link for a cheap (but durable) cover, that would be great.

Thanks,
Ken

I think I found a decent one that will fit. What is confusing is that gm 10 bolt covers are listed as fitting (at least on ebay) 67 Camaro's , Jeeps, etc. They all look different too. I didn't want to order on assuming that it was correct. I found one common denominator. The ones listed for 82 Camaro appear to be correct. I am pretty sure of that as the gasket listed is the same as for my Vega 7.5" rear.

Any 7.5 or 7.625 inch cover should fit. You can't just go by "10 bolt", it has to be a 7.5" 10 bolt.

If you find one that says it fits an S-10, it will be correct; same with 82-2002 Camaro.
The "fleet"-
