Don,
Yes, you'll have to fab up a new rear crossmember, as the rear mount is about in the location of a Turbo 400. If your fab skills aren't all that great, someone else offered this site:
http://www.powerbyace.com/Catalog%20pag ... onents.htm . They offer a rear crossmember.
The driveshaft should work, you may have an issue with the speedo cable location. I ran mine through the passenger compartment and drilled a hole where it was needed, but you could use a 90-degree adapter, too.
I tried using my OE shifter, but the lever under the floor contacted the transmission case. A cable shifter is in order, I use a B&M Pro Ratchet.
You'll also need a kit to control the converter lockup. My trans guy installed a kit so it only engages in overdrive above 50 mph when the separate power switch is turned on. There are other options, too, I've seen.
It is imperative that the TV cable is correctly adjusted at the carb, otherwise you could burn up the transmission. Your trans guy should be able to help there, or Google it.
