Pinion "checking distance" markings help.

I need help deciphering the markings on this to determine my pinion depth "checking distance" . Ill be using a T&D depth gauge set and need to know the distance in inches.. I cant make heads nor tails of this..

I am not sure what yours mean, maybe 2.450?

Maybe Jim from JD Race will see this post and be able to answer it. Otherwise it's common to actually check the contact pattern on the teeth to determine the correct dimension. You smear some special compound on the gears and rotate them to check the pattern.
