Postby NVEGAR8D » Fri Feb 12, 2016 1:19 am

Hi, I tried a search for pics of the panhard bar mount on the body but came up with only 1 very small pic . Does anyone have any pics of the body mount. I need to fab one up and i need an idea how it should look. Thanks for any help.

I think it is just a U shaped channel. 75's were welded on the body, later years bolted on I believe and could be shimmed to help center the rearend.

No, I do not have a pic. Maybe someone who has their car on a rotisserie can snap one.

Are you looking for the '75 mount or the later '76 mount? '75's mount to the chassis in front of the rear axle, '76's mount behind. I'm looking for a picture but haven't found one yet.

Here is what I have on my HD from my 77 Astre. It has a mounting bracket that bolts to the chassis, then the Panhard Bracket bolts to the Mount bracket with 3 bolts, that is were the shims are added to center the axle in the chassis. You can see were the bar mounts just above the rear mounted side brace. Unfortunatly I do not have any more spares. I sold my last panhard bar set up a few months ago.

Nick I have the whole set-up off of the black car outside. I have to remove the front sway-bar for someone else, when the weather breaks enough for me to lie on the ground out there, then I can make a post office run if you need it. I've included the only pic I have which is on my Red Car, I don't know if that is what you need or not. Harry

Hi, Thanks Jeff and Harry . Those pics are perfect for helping me to develop the ideas i have for the body mount. I had planned to put the mount at the back of the rear end. Thanks again!
