Stock h-bodyis 54.5", so less than 3" too wide. Careful wheel choices, like something meant for a 3rd gen Z/28 or T/A will be pretty close.

Note- the very act of listing all of these has made me realize I have some kind of problem.....

"backing plate to backing plate" is more like 49.5" on H bodies, 54.5" is the outside overall width.
S10 2wd rear ends are about the best stock width swap for early 4 link cars.
Monza housing with S10 axles for torque arm cars.

My bad; I did it again. Replying to threads on my phone without properly reading the whole thing.

the narrowest stock 9 inch i can find is 57.25 . I think there is a mopar 8 3/4 for the A body around 55" but I have a 78 Sunbird and want to stay with the torque arm. The arm stuff from the F body seems the easier way to go >

I have S10 axles but am thing I want to go to the drags a few times each summer and cannot bring myself to put anytrust in the 7.5. Seen too many fail at the strip and since it will be driven there and back I figure the ( inch is the safest bet

Strange does for one and I think there is another. Harry Here is a couple of links: https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/ ... /overview/ that is a picture without adequate description of just the housing and here is the whole F-Body assembly: https://www.summitracing.com/int/search ... =Ascending

I believe they did Ken but I couldn't find it listed, a bracket for 9" torque arm rears yes, and I know someone used to make a third member in a 9" with an integral T/A mount but I couldn't find that either last time I looked. Harry
