In the process of rebuilding the stock 305 V8 from the cam up. I have learned a lot about oils and what oil to use in my flat tappet cam smallblock. Once it is back in and running well I plan on changing the fluid and filter in the stock TH350. Car has 62k on it and the transmission works perfectly. So, what are people's thoughts on the best/correct auto trans fluid to run in a stock TH350 with an essentially stock 305 v8 in front of it. Stock Posi rear end.

If it were a race transmission, I'd tell you to put something synthetic in there like Royal Purple, but I think with a stock trans there is no need to over-think your choice. Any name brand Dexron-type trans fluid will do. You're not going to get all the old stuff out anyway when you drop the pan; there will still be 2+ quarts left inside the converter and other areas.
