I’m looking for a picture of the cable mounting at the transmission end Of cable. I changed over to four speed

one end hooks into hole at end of fork. other end hooks into tab on cross member.

Thanks. I got these parts used and I think I’m missing something where the cable goes into the bell housing

there is a cover with a grommet that has a slice in it that the spring goes through. give me a day or too i will find a picture for you.

Thanks, that would be great. Looks like it would have to be a long spring. Also where the cable goes into the bell housing it seems like the hole is a lot larger than the cable end, that’s why I would like to see a picture if anybody has one

This is a 1978 Monza Spyder 2+2 Hatchback, 231 V6 and a 4-speed.

The end of the cable attaches to a barrel nut. That gives you the adjustment to take the slack out of the cable. You need to have the slack taken up before adjusting the throwout bearing clearance (clutch pedal freeplay) at the ballstud on the top right side of the bellhousing.
