PROBLEMS REGISTERING--READ THIS

Postby monzamess » Fri Jan 19, 2007 9:04 am

Due to excessive SPAM, after you register, a real live person (board administrator) must activate your account. Please have patience.

If you don't get activated within a day or two, send email to forumsadmin@h-body.org with the username you used to register.

Our email sending just wasn't happening for whatever reason.

I just activated all the most recent users who registered but could not activate for that reason.

I think that you can delete monzaspyder79 account, it's my friend Nacho who had problems for registering, so he used another email adress for creating nachomonzaspyder79...

How embarrassing, the mail server is down so people aren't getting new registration emails. The host admin is working on it.

These users are now active (normally I would email but like I said the mail server is down):

Bigdogpiddlers
klwallace69
dlj396

Welcome to the chaos (sometimes) that is h-body.org.

Got that, just too lazy to use them. The email problem was fixed right after I posted that.

We (admins) must now manually approve accounts thanks to spamming jerks around the world. See top message of this topic.

Unfortunate that it's come to this; makes a whack of work for the admins, but maybe you'll get an idea of where it's all coming from and be able to block certain domains?
The "fleet"-
72 Vega HB Drag Car -383/'Glide/9"(9.35@146.19)(5.94@117.28 1/8th)
77 Vega Estate wagon- project(someday)will have TPI305/T-5, S-10 spindles/axles
76 Vega GT- 400/4spd/9" retired from active duty(rusty)
06 Silverado 2WD ex.cab daily
03 Silverado 2WD ex.cab (retired)
06 Haulin' 20ft enclosed car transporter
06 GMC Canyon Shop truck
07 Colorado project( 5.3 4L60e swap)
99 Saturn SL1- wife's car
01 Saturn SC2- son's project
07 Saturn Ion Redline project
and 4 more Saturn "parts cars"
Note- the very act of listing all of these has made me realize I have some kind of problem.....
