Also M+H recently came out with a 26x8.5 stiff sidewall that works well.
That's interesting, how does that compare to the softer sidewall for traction and why the stiffer sidewall? Not flamin just need some education on the subject.

There is many reasons. Traction, stability. He has a stick car and seems to be going with a 26x8 tire. Short sidewall + stick shock.
Putting a hard hit to a 26x8 tire just kills the sidewall.
Sure you can keep adding air pressure but only to a point.
I would also say to go with a good drag radial, sticky and stiff but if they spin they dont like to recover as well as a slick.

71LS1Vega wrote:Thanks, it is actually very simple, youll need a complete ls1/ls2 drop out and make a kit that is very similar to the plate kit that bolts to the front of the motor. then a custom transmission mount, and also my car uses a stock length 3rd/4th gen camaro driveshaft. as for the ecu and harness. its a 98 ls1 ecu and a painless wiring harness. make sure if you get an ls2 it is a 05. the 06 and up has a 58x reluctor wheel the 05 has the typical 24 which will work with the 98 ecu.
