I thought so too but I can't find it on the Monza report for 78. The only thing I can remember is that somebody in GM had the car made? I was hoping to find something on it.

Not that this is new but it is out of a 1977 Buick Service Manual.

Got some more info from Sloan today. GM Heritage checked the 1981 report and found nothing on the Monza? They also checked 1980 and saw the note so they will be looking. Brian

That will be cool if they can find out about the numbers in the extended run.

Hopefully, with this info, maybe there's some notes on what the very last Hbody down the line was.

And maybe even what was the last day?

The latest known day (buildsheet verified) is 10-15 so far.

Anyone else have a date after this and a body unit number (box 8 ) (not the vin) above 462894??

And that trim tag printout is nice. The chevy manual has the same thing.

We know more than that printout tells at this time.

Hey thats cool Rog. Yours was built week after my Formula.

What engine was in yours? Does your car have the RTS package? Does your buildsheet list "Y99" handling kit?

Factory 5.0 v8, it had the RTS badge on the dash, no Y99 on the build sheet. What would the handling package consist of other than the big anti-sway bars?

yeah, one of the 63 coupes. There's no listing for RTS but don't all sunbirds have RTS? Its just a marketing gimmick, right? Pontiac's name for better shocks.

Thats amazing, how did I miss this info?

The wierd thing is the Order codes are said to have disappeared in February of 1978. That doesnt diminish the possibility that yours is Legit, possibly they had enough order's, that they couldnt get yours built until Late April.

The RTS package was an option. Most Sunbirds didnt get it. It was Better shcoks and SwayBars. Springs stayed the same. The Formula package didnt get the ''Spyder" rear swaybar . Looks like the RTS may have, but I think that should have its own RPO listed on the buildsheet

So if you dont have RTS listed, then do you have F41 listed?

But F41 should have received FT and '02'.. It takes another RPO to upgrade to the Spyder swaybars.

Hmm.

Yes, but its also an RPO code too.. Maybe though, it was just on the chevy's now that I think about it, but maybe not.

My Olds sheet only had F59 front bar.

WOW!.... thanks for the extra info...

....Someone must have pulled some strings for your car.....It has No RPO's for any special suspension of any kind, yet it got the full Spyder treatment.(same shocks and swaybars)) and interestingly enough, 2 different front springs were installed. - never saw that before. Must have been for the A/C. Also, Its a v8 built a few months after the order codes were said to have been pulled. I bet there's some interesting history to this one.

From one of my buildsheets, RTS was WY5 but I see that it only added a front sway bar.

The Formula Models with the Y99 handling package, Didnt even get the spyder sway bars.

You have a VERY unique H. That for sure!

Did you ever see the story on the '78 V8 coupe that was an autocross state champion (florida)?

My Road Hawk has the F41 heavy duty suspension listing on the buildsheet as did another one I had previously.
