Hi... nice tilt front!...

Well, the first
suggestion I would have in uploading your pics would be to
"crop" the picture. In almost all photo editors you can
start by clicking and dragging from one corner of the
picture to the other corner, drawing a dotted line around
the pic as you go. Make sure you have the "crop"
button/feature enabled before you do this. Also, I would then
"resize" the image to 640 width and 480 height (just to
keep a standard size) and that will reduce the byte
size of the picture even further after cropping it so
that it doesn't become a space hog..... just my .02
worth.

Actually, resize it to smaller than 640x480,
that's HUGE! Anything that takes up the whole screen is
just too damn big unless you are going to be printing
them. Also, make sure you scan in 72dpi, the best a
monitor can display. That the file size is smaller but
the picture quality does not suffer at
all.

Just for the sake of posting another message, and
for the sake of argument...

640x480 is not
huge... I run windows in 1152x864 most of the times, and
640x480 looks soooo small.. (Ill agree that most people
run 800x600 at largest.. so your comment is valid,
but I just felt like posting somthing on this lovely
christmas night..

(who prefers his in HIGH
Rez)

I didn't say that running your monitor at 640x480
was huge, I said scanning and posting pictures at
640x480 is huge. Those are WAY different things. "Size"
has more to do with actual file size than resolution,
but in general a 640x480 resolution picture is
prohibitively small for internet display.
