Anyone know where I can find a rear sway bar for my 80 Spyder?
Allen.

Rear sway bar.

Allen,

Unless I am sorely mistaken (which
is not outside reasoning), the Spyder sway bar is
thicker than the regular Monza sway bar. Also, some
Spyders only had the appearance package and did not have
the suspension package. You need to be clear exactly
which one you have.

I don't mean to say that
you don't know. I am expressing this concern because
in other clubs, you did not specify that you need a
spyder one, only a Monza bar. You will want to maintain
the proper matching between the front and rear
bar.

Just thought I'd chime in...

-Joe

Allen - The local Pick-a-Part has a '80 Spyder
that is pretty well picked over but the last time I
saw it, the rear sway bar was intact. I could get it
for you but it would cost a small fortune to ship it
from Canada to Texas. E-Mail me if you are still
interested.

You're better off finding one used, but,
p-s-t.com sells sway bars for the Monza and Vega in two
sizes for the front and two for the rear (smaller =
stock, larger = F41 package). The drawbacks are that
they are not cheap (about $150 each) and I don't think
the rear will come with the brackets and screws that
go into the rear control arms.
