so I thought I'd pick on the ford 9" rear for awhile.
I'm tired of everyone telling me that a stamped steel(stock) center section 9" is stronger than my G.M. 12 bolt!
If you look at the mods necessary to make a 9" track worthy, you'll start to notice the merits of modifying a G. M. rear.
other than the removable center, I really don't see an advantage to a stock ford type rear.
after eliminating the c-clip axle configuration, is there another reason I should look at these units?
I have access to a "free" 9" ford housing, but can't see an advantage.
I think I'll grab it and sell it on craigslist to pay for my aftermarket 1350 series driveshaft/yokes
