I am still willing to go through with the
reproduction of the mounting strips but I need at least 6 more
persons to tell me they definitely want a set (or two) to
cover the costs. The cost of the die alone was
estimated at 500 to 800 and I am estimating a dollar a foot
for the extrusion (I could not get an estimated price
from the company I have been talking to). I want to be
able to order 1000 foot. This may seem like a lot but
I was figuring five 5'(one extra for insurance)
strips per order. This would give at least 40 sets. I
want to have at least 25 confirmed buyers (or
sets)before going through with this. A few people who did not
mention that they were interested were bobby(monzilla),
Karl( Kleenkars) Ron Goans. If you guys out there
really want this let me know. You can email me at
monzaaddict@yahoo.com and I will give you all the details you want such
as the manufacturer so that you can be assured that
it is all legit. You can even post here as I check
these sites almost daily.
By the way, If this goes
through and there is enough demand I am willing to try to
reproduce the spyder fender scripts, the spyder emblems
(just the acrylic insert the chrome bezel would have to
be reused), 5.7 LITRE fender badges and a few other
items. I would even like to speak to the Goodmark
corporation about having steel cowl induction hoods built. I
do not know if you guys are familiar with this
company but they are reproducing sheetmetal for the more
popular cars out there and they recently started offering
cowl hoods for cars which cowl hoods were never
produced at the factory such as 70-81 camaro, S10, Nova ,
Late model full size trucks. These hoods are awesome
they even have the factory bracing and use all the
factory hinges and latches. I just do not know if there
is enough demand out there for this part

David, any "Spyder" reproduction you do, you KNOW
I'm interested - especially the Spyder emblems
themselves! I've gone as far as taking them apart and
carefully handpainting them, then spraying a fine mist of
silver behind it to simulate the factory job, but as you
know, it's also difficult to find any emblem that not's
cracked! I need 4 for my car (2 are on the roof crown
moulding) so let me know how serious you are about this and
I'll try to help as much as I can.

Ken

Thanks,

I would also be interested in a set ( or two depending on price). Please keep us informed. Also I do hope the air dam reports are indeed true!

I have tried a few times to get in touch with
people who would like to purchase these items. I need at
least 35 persons (or 35 sets of strips) to justify the
cost of the die and labor. Anyone interested please
email me at monzaaddict@lycos.com I will be emailing
people who in the past showed an interest. The cost is
likely to be around 85 dollars a set of 5 ( 1 extra ).

If you post on this board please leave an email
address. A lot of people in the past said they were
interested but had no email address in their profiles and I
could not follow up. If I get enough people I will
contact the company i plan to use. I will then make the
available to all interested so that they can be confident
that this is not a joke.
