Search disabled for troubleshooting

Postby monzamess » Fri Nov 25, 2011 4:51 pm

Search has been disabled indefinitely for troubleshooting a database issue.

You can still search with Google. Just add "site:forums.h-body.org" to your search to restrict it to our forums.

Is this why there's no longer a "view new posts" tab? It's a real pain to have to check every section separately.
The "fleet"-
72 Vega HB Drag Car -383/'Glide/9"(9.35@146.19)(5.94@117.28 1/8th)
77 Vega Estate wagon- project(someday)will have TPI305/T-5, S-10 spindles/axles
76 Vega GT- 400/4spd/9" retired from active duty(rusty)
06 Silverado 2WD ex.cab daily
03 Silverado 2WD ex.cab (retired)
06 Haulin' 20ft enclosed car transporter
06 GMC Canyon Shop truck
07 Colorado project( 5.3 4L60e swap)
99 Saturn SL1- wife's car
01 Saturn SC2- son's project
07 Saturn Ion Redline project
and 4 more Saturn "parts cars"
Note- the very act of listing all of these has made me realize I have some kind of problem.....

I just noticed it, I'm checking on it. Basically, our account was suspended because phpbb was using too many database connections--opening but never closing them. There is speculation among phpbb users that the search can cause this. So I have disabled the search to see what is going on with the board software. I didn't realize that would also remove the "new posts" link...

Re-enabled search with some strict limits... let's see how it goes.

Without the "view new posts" I don't even know how to navigate to new messages. :(

Should be back now with a Google search added to the top of the site and a rework of the Advanced Search page.
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.
