Gil,
I can't even begin to comprehend the amount of work that had to have gone into that Vega!!!
I like the hood opening mechanism and the way they are mounted to the hood hinge!! I would like to see it in action! I am also curious to find out what exactly the hood opening mechanism is and how it works! I wonder if you could adjust the speed on the opener so it doesn't throw your hood across the room, or take an hour to open. haha
Smiley,
First off i like your username, my nickname is smiley!! hahaha I am not sure where we got the rubber blocks from. My dad has been out of town so I haven't had a chance to ask him where they came from. Ill find out when he gets back, should be tomorrow sometime. Thank you for the complement!!
Here is what i have been working on lately. The machines that we use to bend the material isn't readily available, so when we do need something bent we try especially hard to get it right the first time. So I decided to layout the pattern for the transmission cooler bracket on AutoCAD. Once you develop the 2D version, with this drawing, it is fairly simple to turn it into a 3D model. The program already has realistic metal textures programed into the rendering. Its pretty cool getting to see the finished product before you even start building
