Anyone else going up Friday? Mark?

Where is the nearest good restaurant to your place, Bryan? I figure I will get there around 6 pm...may stop to eat first, or drop trailer and then go, whichever is easiest.

Reid
Unsure about Mark, he was confirmed but not which day yet, haven't heard much from him lately so I have no idea if he is coming up Friday like last year or Sat, or if at all now. He knows he's got a place to crash if he comes up Friday. Guess we'll see shortly.

Probably easiest to drop the trailer first so your not dragging it everywhere (so I can take a spin in the Skyhawk when your not around). You can always eat with us, I'm sure we'll be making something up around that time. Drop me a line when your getting close and we can work something out.

Nick
16 attendees, fantastic, glad Fred could twist your arm into making the trip. Dafe driving and see you Sat.

That's fine. I'll leave the keys in it. Please finish the front end alignment first, would ya??? lol

Thanks for the dinner invite, too. Didn't want to impose or be a bother. I'll give you a call when I'm close.

Well, the 7th Annual MonzaQue has come and gone. As always, Michelle and I thoroughly enjoyed hosting this event and seeing everyone again (and meeting a few new faces). Another year of good attendance.

Myself, Dave, Bill, Reid, Ron, Fred, Harry, Marco, Tim, Ken, Rob, John, Nick & Cliff all made an appearance Saturday afternoon.

Unfortunately due to various circumstances, a number of cars were not able to make an appearance, but the owners were here. Thanks to all who braved the roads to make it to this year's MonzaQue and hope everyone has a safe drive home.

Next year, Saturday, August 5, 2013. The 8th Annual MonzaQue - Book it now!

Bryan,

Great job in organizing the meet as usual! We had a great time, learned lots from the other participants, and did not go home hungry. Already planning on next year, will order a Griffin radiator for my car this week and chase down some of the ghosts that prevented us from driving it up this year. Otherwise, it will arrive on a car trailer as Reid's did!

Hope to see the photos soon.

Thanks again,

Bill

Arrived home safely at 8 pm. 10 hours up, 12 hours back...guess I stopped to stretch too much! 1,013 miles round-trip. My lucky number.

No problems with the tow vehicle; ran through about an hour of light rain around Kitchener; after that just cloudy. Long before I hit Sarnia, the sun was out and followed me home. Guess my paranoia of having to haul my baby through high winds and driving, blinding rain was for nothing! (maybe Dave worked his art magic on the skies for me...thanks Dave!) Actually had more trouble coming back IN to my own country than going into yours, guys....took me an hour to cross the bridge and clear Customs.

Absolutely had a blast seeing old friends. Not surprisingly to me, the new friends were just as friendly and personable as they seem on this Board. Couldn't ask for a better group of car enthusiasts.

And lastly, of course the biggest Thank You goes to Bryan and Michelle, who literally treat us all as family. Thanks again, folks. Sorry I ran out early and missed breakfast this morning.

Good to hear you got home safe and sound since you were, by far and away, the longhaul winner this year.

I think we had maybe 20 minutes rain this afternoon, otherwise, today would have been absolutely perfect weather for the MonzaQue, overcast for the most part, a great breeze and relatively cool. But can't complain about yesterdays weather too much.

I think we missed you by minutes when you left, but I completely understand, once your psyched to get going, no point in standing around waiting when your chomping at the bit to get on the road, especially when crappy weather is threatening.

Now that you've been once, your expected year-after-year.

Cheers!

As fun as it was, it's a bit too far to go every year for just one day, so how about this:

1. I come a week early; drop the car and trailer at your house.
2. Drive over to Nova Scotia, which I have wanted to do since I was there about 8 years ago.
3. See everything there is to see in NS, and then drag Fred and his blAckSTRE back over to the MonzaQue with me.

Wadda ya think?

Everyone else get home safely?

P.S> Let's see some pics!
