header thread?

Is there a header thread already on here or where would be the appropriate place to start one?

Well, this past weekend, I bought all of Stahl headers vega jigs for sbc and bbc (Jere Stahl and his wife Judy have retired and closed shop). I plan on making modifications to the bbc jig so it will also make ls headers for the vega. Once I get my shop built, i'm considering making these if anyone is interested. I have sbc 1 3/4, 1 7/8, 2, and 2 1/8. I would consider making a 1 5/8 with a standard head flange if enough people wanted them. I have bbc in 2 and 2 1/8. Im also considering making other H-body related components as well.

I have previously used Hooker 2240's with a standard (9.800) block. Has anyone used them with a tall deck (10.200) block? Are there chassis clearance issues with the increased mounting height?

I haven't tried anything with a tall deck block, but I do have two tall deck blocks(both are for sale) that I can try and check fit on everything. Were you using the hooker front mount or a front engine plate?

I don't have the mount yet. I just posted on the "Wanted" thread to see if someone has a hooker mount (or even a different brand). I found a mount kit in Palmdale, CA but the seller didn't want to ship it. If I can't find one I'll go with the plate.

I wouldn't want you to take the time to try the tall deck fit until I get the mount. I do appreciate the offer though.
