If you're going to do this, you really need at least 2 if not 3 switches; there are 4 different wires coming out of the ignition switch. Purple(start) which you obviously need to hook to a momentary push button, as well as Pink(ignition), Orange(accessory 1 which includes heater) and Brown(accessory 2 for radio, signals, etc). Loading all those onto one switch is not really a good idea for a couple of reasons; the total load can is really too much for even a heavy duty toggle, plus the two accessory circuits actually drop out while cranking so there's more amperage available to the starter and ignition.
It is surprising that no one makes a plug'n'play switch panel setup for 1970's GM vehicles; they do indeed mostly use the same switch. Now you've given me a business idea......
