Nice looking pair of Vegas you have there.
If you are interested in coil over shocks you can check out my thread for more information.
Basically there is a conical spring made to allow a coil over from a first generation Camaro will
work on the Vega.
As far as spring rate front spring rate around 350 seems to be what most people will prefer for the street
and probably around 150lb spring rate in the rear. I am running 450lb front and 250lb rear for comparison.
As far as exhaust dragging, I believe the best header for that situation is the Sanderson "shorty" which is what
I switched to from the Hooker Super comps. I am sure the Sanderson gives up some horsepower to the Hooker
but I was more worried about ground clearance and being able to run the car as low as possible.
The tallest tire in the back will depend on you wheel being exactly centered in the wheel well, but should
be able to fit up to 26" tall tire with 9.5-10.5 inches wide again depending on ride height and wheel spacing.
The most popular largest rear tire I have seen posted consistently is 235/60/15 on 15x8 wheel with 5.5 inches backspace.
The front tire max height again, depending on your wheel be centered in the well and correct backspacing, should be able
to fit 24-25 inch tall tire and about 7-8 inches wide max.
If you stick with just replacing the coil springs, you can add a spacer in the rear or replace with 82-92 Camaro rear springs and
in the front either V8 Monza springs or V6 springs since you probably have shallow lower control arm pockets.
I hope that helps.
