IT'S ALIVE! Bwahahaha!
I finally got it fired up. It only took like forever. I had a few mishaps along the way. First time it lit up for about 5 seconds, and I soon realized I forgot to install the oil pressure gauge. Woops.
That made a heck of a mess. So I installed the test gauge, and tried again. The battery I was using was an O'reillys reject from my Trailblazer, needless to say, it didn't hold up. I went to Autozone today and bought a new battery, the biggest one I could get to fit the factory tray, still not very big, only 550 cca. If someone knows of one that fits, but is more cca, please let me know. Next problem, the rubber seal on the oil filter blew out, and sprayed another 4 quarts of oil all over my floor. I removed the oil filter, and to my surprise, the oil filter adapter was broke in 2. I looked around the garage, and found another one, cleaned it up, and installed it, with a new filter, and filled the oil again. After trying to start the engine for about 20 minutes, playing with the timing, and such, she lit up.
She shook all the dust off of the ceiling.(open headers) Now that I am smiling, ear to ear, I have found new motivation, to get the car done. I was down in the dumps last month, after my mom passed, but I am feeling better now. Brad
