After market headlight wiring harness

Postby sugaryuk » Tue Apr 26, 2016 3:47 pm

Anyone know of any place to find a basic headlight/parklight wiring harness that'll fit a 75 Vega? Not looking for anything too fancy ($$), just a generic type harness to replace my current one which was butchered up by the previous owner. Thought I'd look around before attempting to make one from scratch.

A front lighting harness for a 74-77 Camaro would be close; the headlight, park light and side marker sockets would be right, and the wire colors correct as well. Might even have the right pins on the end for the firewall bulkhead, but the connector would most likely be wrong, and the wires a bit long as well.

Thanks Spencer-- I wasn't having much luck searching for Vega harnesses, Camaros should hopefully have better results.

It won't be "plug 'n' play", but the Camaro one is the closest thing I can think of. Almost zero aftermarket support for our beloved H-bodies from companies like Classic Industries, Year One or OER. But if you have a 60's-70's Camaro, you can buy every last nut and bolt.

If it were mine I would start with one of these headlight relay kits in the front http://www.ebay.com/itm/H4-Relay-Harnes ... eb&vxp=mtr and a pair of H6024 bulbs and see what you may have left on the existing harness. Not too many wires come from the firewall and should be able to repair whats left and tuck back into loom.
