Well, I have slacked on updating my project Journal. As of the date of this post, the Car is actually Finished.
Don't skip to the last page thou.
I am going to try to catch the build up a little at a time, and add pics for reference.
But, they will NOT be in Chronological order.
Basically just kinda FYI for now. Hopefully there is some useful info for future builds to utilize,
Thanks for looking
Darrell

We all know the 7.5 10 bolt was gonna break. So I had a small win/fall with some cash and pulled the trigger on a custom 9" ford.
Ordered Housing from Auto Weld Custom Chassis. Took a while to get it, but well worth the wait.
Auto Weld is the only source I could find that had Jig to fab up this rear end with ALL the correct brackets to make it a bolt in deal.
Searched Craigs for a pumpkin, Bought New Posi carrier and a set of 3:25 gears and set it up.
Now I can sleep at nite. I wont break this with my set up.

A co worker/buddy just showed up with this out of the blue one day. Said I needed it more than him. I assume he didn't like my custom painted Grant Wheel. LOL
I have to agree, This is a Super nice GM Gt style wheel. I tried to pay him, he wouldn't take anything for it.
So, Thanks Gregg

I decided the plastic rear spoiler just wasn't me. Looked a little too universal, the fit not up to snuff. I started searching for an Astre 3 pc spoiler.
Sportriderok here on the forum hooked me up with a ruff piece, but I think I have saved it. A lot of work, let me tell you.
This is what I started with.

I mention earlier that the exhaust sucked and probably would stay long, well I talked around and found a nice recommended shop and had them Fix the exhaust. Basically added X pipe and re-installed the single transverse muff. Dual in, Dual out. Made new tail pipes and neatened things up.
The "X" pipe was the fix. These LS engines have to have an X pipe. They benefit from the flow and its the only way to get them to sound decent.

I still can't believe you were able to save that spoiler. It looks great on there.

Well that is a "FRIEND" you have there Darrell! I couldn't find any "Re-Pop's" of that style wheel, mine is ok, but the "graining" is worn off in a few places, and I hope if Re-Popped that they wouldn't get sticky like the OE's, some day I'll have one as nice as yours I hope! That spoiler, is that 'glass? It looks like the Gel Coat washed off. If that is the case I hope you made sure the exposed cloth was well de-hydrated. if the moisture content is to high it can flake the surface off, likely what happened to that one, [moulders weren't always careful with that sort of thing in the past, now if there is a problem that comes to the dealers attention, and repairs are done under warranty that becomes the "vendors" expense, so QC has taken a more prominent place at these facilities. Looking good! Harry
