Hammerdown7's, advice above may be the best response here, and I'm glad I followed it.

You will never regret the decision to be with your mom. I haven't and it's been over 20 years since I lost my mom.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Bill so sorry to hear that, no you aren't ever ready, my Dad had been "down" from the stroke for 3 1/3 years and you know it is coming, but.... we all know the rest. I have been over at Mom's selling off his legacy for almost pennies on the dollar today and tomorrow is booked the same. Try and remember she isn't in pain or suffering any more, and Try to celebrate what you had together, not what you've lost. Easy said a lot harder to Live Out. Harry :(

My condolences and sympathies.
Sadly, my Mom passed on the 3rd. She was with people she loved and those that loved her in her last days.

While the immediate loss is felt, I fear the future feelings of loss will be the hardest to deal with...... once the mind starts working normal again.

Dwight I too would like to add my heartfelt condolences to Dicks' and Bills' and the others replies! I hope you and your family were able to be with her at or near the end, this is going to be tough for sure but from my dealings with you, I KNOW you have good "Karma" and that came from your mother in no small part, I am sure. So I am sure you will emerge Stronger and happier [as you can in such matters] in the knowledge that she is going some place reserved for Good People as those like that! Best Wishes for all in their time of need! Harry
