Its a great car. 40K and very little rust.

Best part(s), the first build was my wife and I. Round 2 is my youngest son and I.

In rely to RedFiveKBS;
I got lucky. The guy I bought it from had a transmission go bad in his commuter and was motivated to sell. I showed up and was the only one to show interest in the car. Bought it cheap cheap and used it for our $2014 Grassroots Motorsports Challenge car.
I appreciate what you are doing on your car. Not sure I could have stayed the course. Our 75 Monza has had some radical rust removed and had to maintain the original body lines. But, we have been able to cut the firewall out and remain class legal. Our biggest hurdle was the windshield frame and surrounding area was gone gone.

Loving the updates. Keep 'em coming! Hoping to have the last panel patched on mine in the next week and epoxy primer shortly thereafter.

At 8:37pm on 9/7/17 we fired up for the first time. Sounded good.

We will have a little backtracking to do. The right manifold was flipped and the flange is too close to the #8 plug/wire. We will have to disassemble to allow us to clearance. #4 spark plug wire was bad. Possible bad coil of #1.

The entire conversion from thought to start up was 2 months 5 days with 2 knuckleheads with full time jobs. That's SBC removal, LS mounts, LS tear down and assembly, in tank addition with by-pass return, exhaust piping, mount making, water pump modified, modified the harness, drove to buy parts, 3 trips to the You-Pull-It, modified the oil pan, everything....worked on it 29 days/evenings.....super excited.
