Remove the C-clips from the pins, then use a small demolition bar or
other lever covered with duct tape to spread the LH hinge until the
pin is free. Then slide the hood to the right to dislodge the other
pin.
It's a good idea to place a fender cover on the grill panel overlaping
into the engine compartment to protect the finish.
Of course, this is a two man job. You need a helper to hold the
hood on the RH side while you pry the LH hinge pin out, and then to
assist lifting the hood off. The toughest part is probably removing
the C-clips. A good mirror and flashlight helps. After you've done
this job a couple of times it only takes a couple of minutes.
BTW, this is the way the hoods were installed in production - two guys
and a pry bar. It's actually quicker than having to deal with bolts
and shims.
