Just got my Tax returns back and the wife made
the mistake of telling me to get what I "needed" for
my Vega. HMMNNN didn't take me but half an hour to
pick out the parts I "needed" Ended up being a Demon
650 w/ mech sec,edelbrock rpm-air gap, Holley fuel
pump, B&M Megashifter, shift kit, a Petronix HEI
upgrade, and one of those cool see through Distributor
caps. Only thing I'm wondering is you think I was wrong
to take advantage of the
situation?
hehehehe

No way! I "need" a new cast aluminum rear end cover, trans pan, and a port job on my heads! Hey, I've gotta have reliable transportation, don't I?

Gee,

All I'm getting out of the 'tax return' is new wheels. Where did I go wrong? The B&M Mega Shifter is a nice piece. You'll love it.

I ended up owing the federal govt money and get
back a total of $4.19 from the state of MD!
Maybe
I'll buy another can of spraypaint for the Monza with
it! :)

P.S. That's the
marriage penalty for you. My wife and I did our taxes as
if we were single just to see the difference; it was
about $1200! In other words, if we were single, we'd
get back about $800 but instead ended up owing about
$400. I think it should be the other way around! No
wonder family values are down the toilet.

Bob, you should be ashamed of yourself for taking
advantage of such a sincere offer by your wife. Your
punishment is to take the entire weekend, and put all those
"needed" parts on your car, and you must drink beer while
your doing it, no excuses!! Hehe, well done!

Dennis, gotta have kids man. LOL. You'd end up better off
at tax time anyway. LOL.

I know, I know it's
a bad way to put things but
hey........

Secret to getting a decent tax return is to
1.Have kids 2. Claim 0 all year long until tax time and
3. Work for the gov. On my taxes It says I only made
22k this year. But if you consider all the things I
don't need to pay for like Medical for the family. Plus
my non-taxable income (hazardous duty pay-aka Jump
Pay and Basic Allowance for Subsidence-Food Pay). In
reality I make about 32 a year. Best of both worlds
unless we go to war or Korea then I don't pay any taxes.
But there's a possibility I'll lose it all, I know
what a trade-off huh?
