Radiator hose question

Ok guys, I am trying to save some time. I have a
76 vega 350 and used the hooker kit. The upper hose
is going to exit right in front of the altenator (
using a monza radiator )so it is going to have to curve
very quickly. Anyone have any ideas for a starting
point on the upper and lower hoses.

Kevin

Kevin, I have been using a 90* pvc plumbing type piece to redirect the upper hose on my Sunbird. Hope that helps!

Kevin,
What you want is the 90° Lower Hose
Fitting from a stock Vega radiator fitted to the upper
tank. I have photos of this in my v8vegaconversions
Yahoo Group. I can no longer send photos or anything
else from home as my PC has crashed.

If you
are using the 'straight-up' V8 Monza Style Radiator,
be sure to check hood clearance before closing. I
have been told it will not work on a Vega.

Let
me know which way you are going and I will get you
some hose part numbers...Robert

By the way, when using the bigger (16" X 21")
Monza Style Radiator, I have the radiator shop raise
the lower hose connection about 3" so I can use a
shorter lower radiator hose.

It give me more room
around the mechanical fuel pump. Just an idea...Robert

Thanks for your help,

The stock V8 t'stat cover on the 305 points toward the brake master cyl,and the hose curves back around to the rad.

COOL FLEX hoses are the best for this stuff. pretty spendy, but they will never have to be replaced!
