HELP!!! I WAS JUST REARENDED ,75 MON

Well I don't really want to get into causing
problems between various agents OR have them reconsider my
policy, if you know what I mean. To answer your other
questions, no my car is far from stock. They took into
consideration whether it had a stock paint job or custom, I
consider it custom even though I did it myself because of
the amount of effort, prep, and care that went into
it. This is really just a showcar, it's not used for
any other type of transportation. I put about 1000
miles a year on it going to shows/cruises only. I have
a ton of chrome under the hood, poilished intake
manifold, braided hoses, etc. I'm really not saying this to
brag, but the car is mint. So it's not to be confused
with a daily driver. I tried to consider what I spent
when getting it insured and I didn't really have any
idea what it was worth at the time (or even now). But
knowing some other friends that I show with and finding
out what they have their cars insured for I think I
am actually on the low side. I mean just think of
what kind of daily driver used car you would get for
$10,000? Nothing really that special and insurance
companies have no problem insuring these for $10K, so why
not a special interest car even though it is much
older? There are TONS of $10,000 dollar cars on the
road. So I don't know if this helps you at all, there
are a few members of this club who have seen my car
and they can tell you what condition it is in, but
no, it is not stock. Clyde

I should add that I also have 2 other daily
driver cars insured with them as well as my house
insurance and life insurance policy on my wife. Maybe that
adds a little leverage when dealing with these agents,
I don't know. This is a special use policy for
classic/collector cars so that may make a difference also. Clyde

I also have the "parade" insurance on my car plus
5 other regular car policies, house, 2 whole life,
and a suppliment health plan which comes to around
3500 a year. My car is mostly stock and in nice shape.
You have a show car with alot of goodies which
explains the amount of coverage, thats why I asked before
I go nuts on my agent. But I'm still going to look
for a better deal, same company different agent
maybe.

Cliff, point well taken. It pays to shop around
and ask questions. I forgot to mention that this
policy has full coverage, the same as on my other
"drivers" with $100 deductable and the cost is like $140
dollars a year. Much less than when I had regular
coverage on it with no agreed value. For my purposes, it
works out perfect. It saves me a lot of money and gives
me very good coverage. I also have "antique" plates
on it which only cost $25 for 5 years! I of course
did get a vanity plate "MONZA" which I paid more for
initially, but it's still a great deal. Regular car plates
in Illinois are $78 a year. However, my whole point
to all this insurance stuff is to think about it
before a accident occurs, it will save a lot of hassle
than waiting until afterwards and you may even save
some money on top of it. Clyde

We have the same policy, for $4000 its $57 a year. Antique plates here are $15 for the life of the car.

<<<BUT in the monza its like no sees me,
someone at least everyweek, I am serious, trys to T-bone
me, rearend me, or something REALLY bad. Am I the
only one that has noticed this??>>>

I
notice, its why the red monza dosent see the light of
day...and was moved out to storage in the country.

I dont think its actuall people with something
against monza's
Its just the amount of cars per
capita where you are.
The more cars, the more
craziness.
