Are 71 Vega shocks different ???

From the lower mounting part??

the front are the same as other years. the rear shocks are different .71 is buy it self.

Rear shocks for the 71 only had a stud on the bottom instead of the horizontal bolt attachment.

I saw a service bulletin that said the Vega had trouble going thru automatic car washes (I don't remember automatic car washes from that era, but I also have CRS!) because the stud hung down too far, & for the dealer to cut off the excess stud for a fix.
