my guess would be low to mid 12's based on a 530 lift cam,,if its nastier then that ...12 flat, best guess with the limited info,,tires are your main concern,,spinning thru the 60ft mark will kill your et,,let us know,,

the cam seems pretty nasty. if ideling at 1100 rpms when i put it in gear it will die. gotta drive with 2 feet. im putting my hooker 2135 headers on this weekend and 2 1/2 in exhaust with turbo mufflers. next week im putting in the s10 axels with 26 by 9in tires

sounds good,,my 530 lift idles at 1200-1300,with 3inch full exhaust and a 3800 stall runs 11.80 at 115,just went to 26x10x15 and added a rear sway bar and a proform main body, hope to hit the track and get it sorted out, looking for 11.40 on motor and 10.50 on nos, everything works on the car except the wipers and it drives like a dream on the street,,check it out in the gallery,,good luck,,

i got my headers and exhaust on now and wow they really livened it up. with the small tires u just touch the gas and its right 2 redline and time 2 shift if u touch the gas rolling in 2nd it just burns the tires haha. next week ill be putting in my s10 axels and my 26 by 9 inch tires and some final carb work. i hope it hooks better then its off 2 the track 2 see what she runs

1/4 mile ET....

Postby 70styleVega » Sun Aug 05, 2007 8:33 pm

My 1/4 mile ET is SWAG(scientific wild ass guess) at this point. I used Desktop Dyno to simulate my engine and Desktop Dragstrip software to simulate my Vega....it shows 11.44@119mph. Realistically, I'm guessing a low 12 or high 11.

My combo will be a 9.8:1 5.7 rod 406, Lunati solid 401A6LUN (243/251 duration at .518/.530 lift), RPM Air Gap, street ported Sportsman II, 700 Holley, 1 3/4 hedman longtube headers, (est 436 hp @ 5500, 463 lb ft @ 4500).

The 75 Vega will be set up with turbo350, 2800-3000 stall converter, factory 4 link with boxed control arms, homemade subframe connectors, homemade traction bars, air lift bags, camaro rear springs, 3.55:1 Ford 8 inch locker, p235/15 drag radials or 26 x 8.5 wide slicks.

MPH

Postby danfigg » Wed Sep 12, 2007 3:03 am

katostud, I just studied my time slip and you seem to have a pretty good MPH. My 12.90 runs were at 105 and 106 MPH so if you get your fuel issues squared away all you need to work on is that 60 Foot time. I am also running a 1. 80 ish 60 foot time and by the way junk the drag radials and get true slicks. Drag radial are tricky some times they hook and some times they spin. I have yet to spin my 26x8 inch goodyear slicks. Soften up the front end and I would say you could shave a 1/2 a second off your times---------Danny
