What kind of Vega nuts are on the air cleaner?

Postby Jitterbugdude » Fri Nov 02, 2007 8:04 pm

I have a76 Vega. Can anyone tell me what kind of nuts secured the lid of the air cleaner? . There are 4 of them and right now I have 2 hex nuts, 1 small wingnut and a large wingnut like you'd find on a V8 aircleaner...Looking to get it more original looking. Thanks,,, Randy B

I can probably send you some off one of my engines if you'd like.
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.

Appreciate the offer but I can wait awhile. I'm not really going to be restoring this until NEXT fall. It just kind of bugs me everytime I open the hood seeing 3 different fasteners on the air cleaner There's a junkyard about 4 miles from me with 4 Vega's. I"ll stop in there and take a look... Thanks for the offer!!!..Randy B.

No worries.. I have a few Vegas I am going to sell so I may consider parting them.
