Holes in trunk - what for?

Postby Marcin » Fri Nov 22, 2024 5:50 pm

Hi,
I’m attaching a picture of the trunk of my Monza Spyder. As you can see, the entire soundproofing mat is missing (I wonder if it’s still possible to buy one), but I also have a question about the four holes marked with arrows—what was originally attached there? Additionally, what is the purpose of the strange bracket circled in red?

Hi, what i can tell you is that none of those belong there, including that bracket.

All my books are in storage until the new house is finished. I vaguely remember in one of my Petersen Publishing books from the era a photo of a '75 Monza with a full-size spare in the back hatch area, complete with vinyl/carpeted cover, right about where that bracket would be. Of course, all the brochures show the space-saver spare in the side.

it isn't the bracket for the full-size spare. that is further back on passenger side.
