Monza Bellhousing value

Postby ol55 » Thu Jan 14, 2021 11:07 pm

Looking for the value of a Monza Bellhousing that was on my V8Vega. I believe it is a 354496 but the area with the number has been cut out. It is missing the one hole on the DS and matches a picture posted by Clyde. I do not see any on fleabay so assume they are scarce. I do miss this group.

Thanks,
Larry

I think they usually go for between $100-$200. The V8 ones are a bit rarer than the 4 cylinder ones but the 4 cylinder ones can be used by just clipping off the one part where the 6th bolt would go but won’t fit when used on the sbc. They do come up on eBay from time to time, oddly you often see a few all at once and then nothing for a while.

The value is also determined on whether or not it includes the unique H body clutch fork.

Thanks! Clyde, It does have the h body fork. Guessing it was cut out (where the part number was?) to measure clutch play.

Thanks again,

The part number is where the clutch cable connects

Clyde, Have not found the part number- where the cable connects to the fork? Just went over that area with a magnifier and no go. I know you know your stuff!!

Thanks,
Larry

Even though this was attached to a V8, now thinking it is not a Monza bell housing. The Fork opening is in the center, not towards the bottom. Thanks!

are the locating pins on the fork welded? If yes it is a Don Hardy modified fork and bellhousing that was modified according to his included instructions.
