Fuel tank vapor line

Postby Howler73 » Sun Mar 13, 2022 7:06 pm

I just noticed that the "vapor line" coming from the fuel tank is just sitting open by the firewall on the passenger side. In my manual it shows it going to the vapor canister then to the carb base plate. I don't have a canister so can I just block it? Or is that also used as a fuel tank vent?

Thanks, a previous owner put a 350 crate motor in and just left the front vapor line, as it’s called in my overhaul manual, open. I think I’ll find some kind of vent cap instead of hooking up a canister.
