s10 and blazer spindles

Postby kdsupervega » Sat Jun 04, 2022 2:01 pm

Will the blazer spindle, with the seal bearing hub would make your tire stick more than a s10 spindle. I have the s10 spindles on it now, i'm thinking the blazer spindles have more brake selection than the s10. I bought the early corvette master cylinder and a combination valve disc/drum. But for now, i'm hoping the dual piston disk brakes that comes with the blazer would be adequate for now.

You should not see any change in track width from a 2wd single piston S10 spindle to a 2wd dual piston Blazer spindle.
When changing from Vega spindles to S10 spindles with Vega ball joints and taper adapters the S10 spindle is offset 1/4” at the lower ball joint location.
This is more of a camber issue than track width, if you convert to S10 ball joints when doing the spindle swap the sleeve can be offset to correct the 1/4” difference and all is good.
