nope, no V8's for 1980. I always wanted a V8 Monza but ended up buying a V6 (blue car), just couldn't find a nice stockish factory V8 that wasn't priced well beyond reasonable, most had been shit kicked and beaten to death and at that time I wasn't in to a project of that magnitude. So, after my son took a turn at my blue Monza and blew it up a couple times he parked and and bought the 1980 Teal roller that was born as a V6 4 speed but someone had put a 350 in it before we bought the car. My son's plans were to take the good stuff off the blue car and build the Teal car but his build concept exceeded his budget and the idea died. Flash forward a few years and we are going to build a mild 305 4 speed car to start with as I have most of the bits to do that on a reasonable budget. And then once its on the road we can start enjoying it we will probably build a mild 350 for it. But to start we just want to get it back on the road again, you simply do not see these cars on the road where I live anymore. Someone has a coupe near me, mostly stock, unrestored but cared for. That's the only Monza/Sunbird/SkyHawk I have seen in the last 5 years.
