I have the engine nearly centered with out the steering box so the alt will fit on either side try it I guess.
The electric fan wire with fusible link
Image
enclosed in conduit cause it's hooked directly to battery
Image
ordered the factory plug and grommet from here https://www.ecstuning.com/ES424449/
Image
plug needs connectors but these common female blades fit. This thermal switch and connector is a ground trigger
Image
grommet on first then conn.
Image
Nice plug really.Right is ground, center is #1 low fan left is #2 high speed and thermal switch is also marked accordingly
Image
back ground can see the off switch and the Volvo fan relay
Image
I decided to deviate from the wire diagram slightly and hooked the switch to the #1 low speed circuit because I don't think the high will be on when the car is turned off, just the low speed,so if it runs too long i can kill it with the switch. If it runs a little that will be fine like the old Dodge Omni did.
Image
getting ground wires by the battery, crimped and soldered fan and relay grounds to hook directly to negative
Image
Battery in,wires hooked up put a jumper wire at the thermal plug ground to #1 and the low speed fan runs.Move the wire ground to #2 and high runs, all is well. The Volvo controller and VW thermal switch automatically turns the low speed off when the high is engaged, like the Taurus fan is designed to be run.

working with the LS steam tubes and have a salvage 4 corner unit that does Not fit under the dual plane RPM intake on the LS.
Image
Want to keep 4 corners not just the front 2 steam vents so spliced her up some here
Image
looking at it closely decided to move the larger tubes to the front and conn together with a hose and the smaller tubes together at rear with a tee fitting between
Image
Front ready for center hose with outlet tube
Image
Image
the rear ready for a brass tee in between the tubes and hose run toward the front to another brass tee to conn front and rear.from that center tee to the top of the Taurus coolant tank.going with brass not plastic tees for durability

Bolted on the Kia Sedona trans cooler to the front and took on the coolant lines next.Getting full and tight up there and really only one way to route through the rad support.TH350 uses 5/16 lines as does the Sedona cooler.Had some pre-bent trans lines but they did not work at all so started over with some straight 51"ers.

picked this spot for the hose routes

grommets for the hose supplied by JW http://racewithjw.com/

Angled the steel lines up in an unobstructed area

Cleared radiator up front and battery on inside

Also sorted out the trans dip stick tube supplied by JW.Did not fit, engine back may just a little too much so gave it more bend at the bottom and brought it out farther.Had to drill the mounting bracket off and move to a diff bolt location also.
Image
got the tube fitting to clear the spark plug wire and all else in the way and clamped on bracket to the out manifold stud
Image
spot welded and repainted
Image
Image
fits like a charm now even with the heat shield

finished a few more things with the radiator put in with rubber grommets
Image
Image
decided to use some studs for mounting the fan assembly
Image
Image
upper hose needed an adapter for the larger size of one end although it is the 'S' shape needed to connect to the water pump.Gates has these handy adapters

Stock water pump fits nicely with 45 deg. hose

yup that's right.Originally trimmed the radiator opening as wide and tall as possible with out cutting things off and tucked custom sized radiator into the support. This left it with out a access to install a cap. Many new cars have the cap on an expansion tank so got one from a Taurus SHO.Ordered the radiator with a 1"" bung for the tank.Originally wanted to install the tank in the left front near the horn but it needs to be at a higher level than the radiator and cylinder heads and did not work out there so moved it to the cowl and even that puts the cap near the hood but does clear.Mounting the tank soon after I get fuel lines and wiring done at the cowl.I ran a tape measure from ground to top of radiator and to top top engine(cyl head, water pump)and to the cap and coolant level at the tank when mounting it.This was the only spot those required measurements came out.I like the tank for it gives the system a 16lb cap,a steam vent connection on top for the LS steam vents,a float for coolant level light connection at dash light.and easy check and fill.
