76 vega front lower control arm has been ripped
off the body mount. does any one have any ideas how
to replace/fix the body mount as it appears to be
part of the uni-body. Is there an interchangable front
end from an other car that would fit/work.

thanks

Larry

Wow, I haven't heard that one before. Was it
pretty rusty in that area? As for repairs, good luck.
You'd have to swap on a front subframe from another
H-Body which would not be a small undertaking. Depending
on the damage, you may be able to repair that area,
but I wouldn't feel safe doing it. Good
luck.

Hi Larry.

How bad does it look, most parts
can be fixed, are you a welder or do you have access
to a good welder,if so this can probably be
fixed.

Do you have any pictures of this
problem??

Jon.

I'm bumming for you. I just found cracks near my
right upper control arm mount. Fortunately mine can be
welded pretty easily. My car was in a wreck, then pulled
back into line by a frame shop, then installed the
V-8. That area was "relieved" for the headers, so any
one of those may have caused my problem. Sure hope
you can save it, maybe you could weld in the Jegs
front clip if it can't be welded.

Dave
