Tranny cross member/Robert or anyone

I like the design of the tranny cross member used by Robert on his Vega.Does anybody know where I might locate one used? I also need a Monza oil pan ,possibly two.Any leads?Thanks! Bill in Az...

if i remember right it`s a modified one made by
hooker or hardy

one use a different set-up then the one Robert has i
think the changing year was 1976
(later type)
I
did made one on my 1978 to accept a th-700
out of
1 X 2" steel tubing it looks real nice

My Vega is a 73 wagon.I have a transdapt set
up(bolts up through the floorpans) but it looks pretty
hokey compared to the crossmember under Roberts car.If
I cant locate one,I'll just have to learn how to
use my pipe bender.Thanks for all the

The crossmember I used is the Hooker #12633 and
should be identical to the one supplied in the Hooker V8
Vega Kit.

I had to cut both tubes and pull
out the threaded plugs, shorten both tube ends,
replace the threaded plugs and make a new mount pad on
the back of the crossmember to accomodate the long
T-50 gearbox.

Honestly, it was a very easy
modification. I bought that crossmember from another club
member (Two Tone Jim) for $50.00...Robert

The crossmember is still available from Hooker. PAW carries them. It was the crossmember sold with their Big Block kits.
