Can't upload pics!

I can't believe this! It doesn't matter what format I try and use, I still can't upload pics! All it tells me now is that my pics are "invalid"! Whatever!!!! I would like to think that I have something to offer to this site and my own project journal and possibly share my knowledge as well. I have a ton of pics that I would like to share and exchange information! But, this site limits me from doing so!

Usually it's a size problem, I always have to resize my pics to get them to post on this site. They can only be 256kb or smaller.

Yep, Tried resizing as you mentioned, still the same response and result! I have been trying this for quite some time now and well I guess the "H-Body" Gods aren't interested !

I would also like to post pics but get the same message. I use an iPhone and iPad. I’ve tried to resize them but I really don’t know what I’m doing. I’m not computer savvy either. It would be a nice feature if the website would automatically resize them as they are uploaded.

Just checking to be sure… did you go through the sticky on the General tab?

I just tried from my iPad, and as long as the image file size is small, it lets me upload pictures. It gives me the ‘invalid image’ message if the image is too large a file size. Also, sometimes microsoft windows reports a compressed image size - it’s the uncompressed size that has to be less than 256 kB.

When resizing, be sure you are uploading the resized picture when you shrink them, not the original one. In the past I’ve uploaded the original one a couple times before I realized the photo resizer I was using was renaming the resized file.

I usually re-size to 600 X 800 pixels but upon occasion even that is a bit too large. I also always choose jpeg, not sure if that is an issue or not. I use MS Paint for this task. And Yes we are interested! Harry

Yes, size matters.
