Ok here is where i'm at. 73 gt with a 215 V8. Tried to check voltage output of alt and couldn't get a reading. The tester was bouncing all over the place. Battery was draining overnight. I put a new alt on and still doing the same thing but not as bad. I charged the battery and hooked up the positive side. Ran a test light between the negative cable and post. Test light lit up. But when i connect the light i could here the relay by the master cylinder clicking. Pretty sure thats not supposed to be powered up until the key is turned on. I'm a brake and suspension guy and electrical makes my head hurt. lol Is this relay bad or could it be the ignition switch?
