another rear end question 7.5

my 79 monza has 2.29s they gotta go i got a 7.5 from a 2wd s 10 3.42s 26 spline i want to install the 342s in the 2.29 case i know what to do with the pinion bearing my question is will the carrier with the ring gear bolt in?

I had 4.10’s on the wrong series carrier. A machine shop made me a spacer and cut down mopar bolts.

There are two carriers, one for 2.29-3.08 and another for 3.23 on up. So it will not just bolt on. I concur to get ahold of Jim at JDRace.

yes 2 different carriers hoping to switch them out,as far as i know the 2 different sizes fit in same housing? heading for jd site now! thx for replys guys!

You can also use the 28 spline axles if you use the later 7.6 carrier, the 7.5 ring gear will bolt onto the 7.6 carrier.
